It's easy to enter, you just have to fill out the rafflecopter form and according to it we have eight (8) more days to do so that should mean that it ends on October 9th (or the 10th to some countries...)

Review: City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Goodreads summary:
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing - not even a smear of blood - to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know....

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

You can purchase the book from: The Book Depository.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My thoughts (for me it's hard to express myself as it is but having to do it in a foreign language is even harder, I tried my best at not giving any spoilers so it should be save to read. Oh and I'm not so good at this reviewing thing but I figure I might as well write it all down just to let it out and spread the love!)

Oh there aren't a lot of books that could keep me at my desk most of my brakes but this one is something!!! I loved it. I usually love everything I finish simply because I don't read books I don't like in the first place(if it's a school book then I have to...) and because by the end of every book I've read I realize that I've fallen in love with the storyline and the characters. This book is something different. I am in love with it as always but it's strange. Maybe it's because I don't have the second book to start reading, maybe because I have another one waiting on my night stand, I don't know but I like it because it makes me feel great about the book. It's amazing. The characters are rich and colorful, everyone with it's own history behind a mask of a kind... Don't get me wrong they aren't trying to be someone they're not, they just live with their burdens. They are very strong and surprising. It's beautiful(well it wasn't exactly beautiful but it was moving) how a person can change so much in a matter of weeks if not days.

Trough the fist part of the book I got to know them and when I finished it one though passed trough my mind and it was- "What the hell just happened?". I was at loss of words and I sat there and stared at the closed cover. But I loved it and I really want to see how things go from here. I want to know if the next book is going to be about the same characters and if it is what will happen with them.

The end was amazing and it was powerful, and did I mentioned totally shocking!!!

For everyone who has not read the book they should!

I am sad right now that I don't have a solid English vocabulary so I can express exactly what I feel! It's a shame that I can't get the right words to come to me but I hope I explained good enough so all of you out there, who hasn't read the book yet, to find it in the nearest bookstore and to buy it. I have mine from a library but I am definitely buying it as soon as possible!!!!

The TV series I'm watching...

And here I am again...
Just as I finished my last post I opened my twitter and I saw a tweet that reminded me of something big I was missing... My favorite TV series are back on with all new seasons and so far I think I'm going to like them. These last few day I've been watching the new episodes of a my favorite shows and some new ones... I will start with my absolute favorite and that is
#1 The Vampire Diaries - So far two episodes have came out and I already watched them and I loved it. It's strange the whole evil-Stephen thing but I love that Damon and Elena are alone. Yeah she's obsessing about getting him back but she has Damon now and no Stephen around to stop her from what she unconsciously wants (because she has to be really stupid not to want Damon... or, oh maybe that's just me loving Damon too much...).
I mean COME ON... look at him!!!!
Soooo I like how the new season starts. I'm looking forward to the next episode, with an ending like that from the second episode, I don't think there's a person out there who doesn't want to see what happens next. I totally did NOT expects  the "Daddy?"  line....

#2 Castle (that one is actually tough to decide because the second best show hasn't started yet, so hasn't the third...) There is just one episode out for now and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It was strange how fast everything took place. One minute where seeing the end of season 3 and then BAM everything happens so fast. I do love Castle though, so I'll keep watching the series. It's worth it!

#3 How I met your mother - Oh that one I'll watch until the end. I need to know how the mother is and who's Barney marring and what happens to everyone else. The two new episodes have been amazing and I can't wait for the next one. The writers, producers and the cast and everybody on that set is amazing(or so I think) and for now we've been given bits and pieces from the big picture and we're putting them together and I have no idea where is this going to take us.... I love the series and it's so much fun that if you haven't watched it, you should!

#4 90210 - This series is just to kill the time. It's not as brilliant as some others but is good. I like it enough to keep watching it so it's good. There are some twists and turns that no one sees coming and that keeps things interesting There are two ore three new characters so far but there's not much to tell there. We don't know very much about them, just that they are going to stir things up a lot! We'll see what happens soon...

#5 The Big Bang Theory- This show is hilarious. I'm LMFAO just looking at the characters let alone when they start talking. This two new episodes have been particularly funny. The whole plot is amazing, the cast is awesome and they impersonate their characters perfectly... The series is a must-see so if you haven't, go ahead and do it!

Hmm I'm thinking of leaving the rest for tomorrow or when I have 5 more. There are a lot more to come out since I just love reading and watching when i can't go out( which means a lot time to watch TV....). Okay now I thing I'm done for the night.  Bye for now...

Marti

Last few days...

Heey,
So I just started school last week and that took some getting used to, but I think I fell into my routine pretty quickly.I hate all the test and exams we have at the beginning. I mean, I studied the material last year... how am I supposed to remember everything after such a relaxing summer?!? Anyway we already have a little vacation. It's four days brake from school and two of those days I spent around the house doing nothing( if you exclude helping my mother all day, yesterday), so now I have to buck up and start re-learning my biology lessons so I don't fail my next text...
I also started a new book. I have basically read two or three pages of it but I've been waiting for someone to return it to the library for so long now....I don't see the right time to read it though. I don't know what is it with me and books last few months.I seem to read a lot more books on my computer than I do on paperback. I barely read anything this summer, instead I spent quite a bit of time on the internet entering some book giveaways. As you can see from my post I've been entering quite a bit more but some days, okay most of the days I just don't know what so say or write. As I said I haven't been reading a lot so there aren't any reviews to write. The book that I started now is the first book from the Mortal Instruments - City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I don't know if I like it yet but I'm looking forward to it! I would like to hear if you read it and if you liked it!
So that's pretty much it. My life is a mess right now because I'm not completely used to the whole back-to-school thing...
I've been running from the kitchen to my room, where my computer is, and back to the kitchen because I'm cooking tonight so I'm sorry if there are any mistakes in my post...
I gotta run to the kitchen again so I'm finishing up here.
Good night for now( I might come up with something interesting to say before I go to bed so we never know!).

I'm in a really bad mood...

Oh my God... I can't believe how some days I get pissed off by the littlest things... Today is my brother having friends over at 9 PM AGAIN!!! I mean, COME ON.... Can't he miss one night. We share a room so that's why I mind when he comes home and brings someone with him... He knows that I don't like that but he doesn't care and let me say that this is NOT the first or the second time he does it! I need to sneak around the house to find an empty room so I can get dressed after shower.. If I want to go to sleep erlier(not that I do that very often, I just give and example) I have to wait to go to bed. I don't mind so much having friends over during the day. That's not exactly fine but I put on a good face and deal with it, but this...
And now because of things like that I go around the house pissed off at everything and everyone. Mostly it results at me getting yelled at from my parents because of my attitude.

I'm just letting it all out right now, not that you need to hear about all my problems but hey that's my only way without getting into a fight with someone...Well I'll go and watch what's going on with Twitter 'cuz I can't watch my movie on my PC(did I forgot to tell you that he talk on skype, too...). Have a good night everyone. I hope I chill out before I go to bed, I have to get a good night sleep so I'll be ready for the looong day at school tomorrow.

First day of school..

Yesterday was my firs day of school... well for eleventh time but who's counting. It was strange to go back to school, to see my classmates, my teachers. We didn't do anything then, we just stood outside while the principle was talking and stuff like that, and then we left. Pretty much the first real day of school was today. We went in class and sat on the old desks and had the same boring conversations we had last year with out teachers... This year there was a few changes. There is a new Math teacher, well there are a few more but we haven't met them yet! All in all I was kind of excited even though I don't want to go to school right now( I prefer sleeping in and having the day to myself than to wake up at 6:20 am and to go to school).
The worst of all is that even though it's Saturday tomorrow  I'll  have to go to school. Oh I already miss my lazy Summer vacation...  It was my last so I'll miss it even more when the real torture of lesson and homework begin...

How is your school year going so far? Anything to complain about?

Review: Succubus Shadows (Georgina Kincaid #5) by Richelle Mead

Succubus Shadows by Richelle Mead

Goodreads summary:
Georgina Kincaid has formidable powers. Immortality, seduction, shape-shifting into any human form she desires, walking in heels that would cripple mere mortals -- all child's play to a succubus like her.

Helping to plan her ex-boyfriend's wedding is a different story. Georgina isn't sure which is worse -- that Seth is marrying another woman, or that Georgina has to run all over Seattle trying on bridesmaid dresses. Still, there are distractions. Georgina's roommate, Roman, is cluttering her apartment with sexual tension. Then there's Simone, the new succubus in town, who's intent on corrupting Seth.

But the real danger lies in the mysterious force that's visiting her thoughts, trying to draw her into a dark, otherworldly realm. Sooner or later, Georgina knows she'll be too weak to resist. And when that happens, she'll discover who she can trust, who she can't -- and that Hell is far from the worst place to spend eternity.

You can purchase the books from: The Book Depository.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My thoughts and ramblings... There are spoilers in my review so be aware!

Yet another incredible book given to us by Richelle Mead. I am amazed at how much power is in it, how much love, how much pain, longing for an impossible dream. In this book we truly meet Georgina Kincaid, we see her past, all the nightmares she's lived trough.

However I have to agree with some of the comments below that it wasn't as energetic as the previous books. Most of the time Georgie was locked up and that's what led to the memories but she's always the one to take action and that was missing here.

I also didn't like the whole getting-back-together-with-Seth thing. I don't like him as much as I'm supposed to, him being the main hero and all... He lost his charm somewhere along the way. I think the dream men shouldn't have been him.

I truly enjoyed the parts with Jerome and Carter and the gang but I think that Seth was so out of place in the saving-Georgie part.

This second contract got my attention so I will be reading the next and final book to the series.

I give 4 stars just because the book was not on the same level as the last 4 books from the series...

Review: Succubus Heat (Georgina Kincaid, #4) by Richelle Mead

Succubus Heat by Richelle Mead

Goodreads summary:
Georgina Kincaid has been a bad, bad succubus...

…which should be a good thing. But lately, thanks to her foul mood over breaking up with bestselling writer Seth Mortensen, she’s been so wicked that Seattle’s ├╝ber-demon Jerome, decides to “outsource” Georgina to a rival—and have her spy for him in the process.

Being exiled to the frozen north—okay, Vancouver—and leaving Seth in the cozy clutches of his new girlfriend is unpleasant enough. Then Jerome is kidnapped, and all immortals under his control mysteriously lose their powers. One bright spot: with her life-sucking ability gone, there’s nothing to keep Georgina from getting down and dirty with Seth—nothing apart from his girlfriend that is. Now, as the supernatural population starts turning on itself, a newly mortal Georgina must rescue her boss and figure out who’s been playing them—or all hell will break loose…

You can purchase the book from: The Book Depository.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My thoughts and ramblings for the book... It's full of spoilers!!!

At first I was a bit surprised by the pairings in the beginning of the book. Everything was very different from how things ended in the previous book. I also wanted for Georgina to be a little bit more cruel to Seth seeing as what he did... I am not impressed by him in this book. Good he loves her and he broke up with her for a good reason but starting to date Maddie literally the next day, sleeping with her in the first place was wrong... that was just awful. Then he went and cheated on her( okay that was partly Georgie's fault but it doesn't excuse him). No wonder he's going to Hell...

I wasn't surprised by Georgina's demeanor, I actually thought she was going to be much more bitchier to Seth.

Roman wasn't exactly a surprise either. I had a feeling about him showing up. It was the right time I guess...

I also had a feeling that there's something wrong about Dante. I like him, he's strange but I liked him. That feeling showed up when he started giving Georgina gifts but even then I wasn't sure.

Again there weren't enough Carter and Jerome( the second is for obvious reasons but still..). Carter's presence was a little bit more this time which I loved.

The whole plot is amazing. The idea of the book was great and the way it was written was even better. And the ending was sweet... I wonder if the dream could come true and if Roman's going to be the men in it, I'll just have to read the next book to see what happens.

Richelle Mead has this way to hook you up on a story and you are helpless against it. I love the series more and more after every book I read. The word around it is compelling and right now I'm happy that I waited for the last book to come out to start reading the series. I have two more books to read now and I don't know what I was going to do if I had to wait for one. I'm starting the next one right away.

Review: Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid, #3) by Richelle Mead

Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid #3)Succubus Dreams by Richelle Mead
Goodreads summary:
Some days, a girl just can't catch a break......especially when the girl in question is Georgina Kincaid, a shape-shifting succubus who gets her energy from seducing men. First there's her relationship with gorgeous bestselling writer Seth Mortensen, which is unsatisfying on a number of levels. It's not just that they can't have sex in case Georgina inadvertently kills him (generally a turn-off for most guys). Lately, even spending time together is a challenge. Seth's obsessed with finishing his latest novel, and Georgina's under demonic orders to mentor the new (and surprisingly inept) succubus on the block. Then there are the dreams. Someone, or something, is preying on Georgina at night, draining her energy, and supplying eerie visions of her future. Georgina seeks answers from Dante, a dream interpreter with ties to the underworld, but his flirtatious charm only leaves her more confused-especially as the situation with Seth reaches crisis point. Now Georgina faces a double challenge-rein in her out-of-control love life, and go toe-to-toe with an enemy capable of wreaking serious havoc among mankind. Otherwise, Georgina, and the entire mortal world, may never sleep easy again...

You can purchase the book from: The Book Depository.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My thoughts:

Oh I just finished the book and I don't know what to feel exactly. I'm sad of the end... The breakup was not something I expected, and I definitely didn't like it. I kinda resent Seth right now. i didn't expected this of him, to break things up like that... What he did was just low... I also kinda want for Maddie to find out, it's nothing personal, I like her, but I want her to know. Otherwise the book was insanely amazing. It was so dynamic and filled with action and emotions. I enjoyed the book too much if you as me and I probably read it way to fast but it's just that good. We also got some pretty good background stories on Georgina. Her past is fascinating and I loved every memory she shared with us... I miss the Gang and Jerome. I feel like there isn't enough of him and I'm a little disappointed about that but the book was great non the less. I'm impressed by Richelle Mead's writing. It's compelling and emotional. It brings the characters to live and I just cant get enough of it so I'll continue with the next book of the series and for those who haven't read the series yet, YOU SHOULD!!!

Review: Succubus on top (Georgina Kincaid, #2) by Richelle Mead

Succubus on top by Richelle Mead
 Goodreads summary:
Georgina Kincaid's job sucks. Literally.
Love hurts, and no one knows it better than Georgina Kincaid. If she so much as kisses Seth Mortensen, the shy, sexy, incredibly gifted Seattle writer she's been dating, she'll drain his life force. Georgina is a succubus-a demon who draws her power from other men's pleasure. Admittedly, the shapeshifting and immortality perks are terrific, and yes, Georgina did choose to join the ranks of hell centuries ago. But it seems completely unfair that a she-demon whose purpose is seduction can't get hot and heavy with the one mortal who knows and accepts her for who she is.
It's not just her personal life that's in chaos. Doug, Georgina's co-worker at a local bookstore, has been exhibiting bizarre behavior, and Georgina suspects that something far more demonic than double espressos is at work. She could use help finding out, but Bastien, an irresistibly charming incubus and her best immortal friend, is preoccupied with corrupting an ultra-conservative talk radio star-and giving Georgina some highly distracting come-hither vibes. Georgina is going to have to work solo on this one-and fast because soon, Doug's life won't be the only one on the line.

You can purchase the book from: The Book Depository.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My review, (well more like ramblings about the book)
Just now I finished the book and I wanted to rant a little bit. It's my review of the book, but I'm not as good with words as I wish I could be so don't expect too much. I just had to write something so here it is.

This book was absolutely amazing. I don't know what else to say about it. There's so much energy in it, so much life. The end completely blow me away. The story line is so good that I want to pick up the next one right away and bury myself in the pages.
I remember someone telling me that the second book was a bit slower then the fist on. That it didn't have so much action in it. Well I don't remember who told me that, but they were wrong. The action came in the middle of the story and it was amazing so I guess that's why they thought it wasn't as dynamic as the firs book but it had plenty of action as the story continues.
I feel bad that I don't have the words to describe how much I liked it. I've only read Richelle Mead's YA books and now I appreciate her on a whole new level. She truly writes magnificent stories. Geogrie's world is filled with so much problems, one of them is her not being able to control herself completely. She slips from the right path, funny thing to say knowing that she is a demonic creature, but she always seems to find her way back to the top.

I enjoyed the last few chapters very, very much, the one with the Emerald Lit fest was my favorite and I can't wait to see if she'd do one more in one of the next books and I'd love to see how she'll do without the ambrosia...
I loved the new character that was introduced to us in this book. I enjoyed the stories from Georgie's past and I loved reading about all the things she's been through. Well that I kind of noticed that there's always insanely hot guys around her so I want to know more about her friends... I just loooove Jerome and Carter. I hope we see more of them in the future. I would love to see Georgina and Jerome a little bit more close, like a father-daughter relationship, but not exactly..I just want them to be closer!  It's needless to say that I want to see more of Georgina/Seth. I want to see how will their relationship grow. And I want more of The gang. :D
Oh once I start there's no stop so I'll finish up here. All in all you guys should read the series! It's worth it!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My thoughts:
Hey guys,

I don't usually write reviews of books I read 'cuz i don't know what to say but today I'm inspired from this new YA paranormal book, Descended by blood by Angeline Kace. All I can say is that the book is great. It has action and it has funny moments and it has a veeeery cute guy, that is not the boyfriend of the main character. It's fun and it's about a teenage girl (Brooke) who has lived her life not knowing anything about her father and she did alright until someone tried to kill her. Well since that moment she found out a lot about her dad and about herself. She found out things so strange and scary that it changed her life completely, but she sucked it up and fought for her life and for those she loved. I think she cried a little bit too much in the beginning but that make her growth even more impressive in the end. The end is a cliff hanger and now I don't know how I'm going to wait till the next book comes out. I'm confused by the ending and I have all kinds of theories about how this might work out.

One thing I'm sure about is that the next book is going to be awesome. That's not gonna make the waiting any easier on me, tho.

Well that's it from me. I'm gonna leave everything else about the book for you to find out. I'm gonna start wishing that I get my favorite characters paired in the next book and you guys should go and buy this one. It's awesome.
