This book is suitable for Adult readers!!!
Goodread summary:
The New York Times bestselling author of Darkfever and Bloodfever returns to Dublin’s Fae-infested shores in a bold, sensual new novel. Hurtling us into a realm of seduction and shadows, Karen Marie Moning tells the enthralling tale of a woman who explores the limits of her mysterious powers as she enters a world of ancient sorcery—and confronts an enemy more insidious than she could ever have imagined. He calls me his Queen of the Night. I’d die for him. I’d kill for him, too. When MacKayla Lane receives a torn page from her dead sister’s journal, she is stunned by Alina’s desperate words. And now MacKayla knows that her sister’s killer is close. But evil is closer. And suddenly the sidhe-seer is on the hunt: For answers. For revenge. “Truth hurts. But lies can kill.”

This is definitely a book worth reading. If you've read the previous books and thought they were awesome, wait to see just how amazing this one is.
So much new developments, a few new people, a new Big mystery and oh the ending.... broke my heart but the book was awesome!

“Nobody looks good in their darkest hours. But it's those hours that make us what we are.”

Again it all started with a personal message to the readers from Mac in her usual sarcastic tone that always makes me smile. But that was just about all the smiling I didn't for a long time. This book was the most serious of them all because of what happened in the end. The story was building up to that moment when hell broke loose and the panic started but I, too, am getting ahead of myself.

A big part of the story were the letters Mac got from an unknown sender. They contained pages from her sister's diary, where she's talking about the Lord Master and his control over her. That was a shock for Mac and it pissed her off and it saddened her because she in those pages she saw one very different Alina than the one she knew and she hadn't even noticed it before.

Mac met a new boy in this book. His name is Christian and he's a druid. Yep they exist and apparently they take a huge part in guarding our world from the UnSeelys. The Druids are reinforcing the barriers between the dimensions and they do it every year but something has been ruining their attempts in the last few years and now if they don't find a way to cast their spells this year on Samhain, the barriers will fall and out world will go to hell.. oh well.

“He’s so beautiful,” she said wistfully. “He’s like an angel.”
“Yep,” I agreed flatly. “The one that fell.”

We got to see more of V'lane too. I'm not really sure how I feel about him. He is hot as hell and all that but I'm a fan of Barrons more and I kind of want Mac to end up with him and V'lane is always there and I don't know what to think because Mac kind of likes him. His presence pisses her of to no end but she also knows that she can trust him when she's truly in danger. After all he needs her alive just as much as Barrons do so she knows the neither one of them is going to kill her.

“What are you?” I said irritably.
“In the Serengeti, Ms. Lane, I would be the cheetah. I’m stronger, smarter, faster, and hungrier than everything else out there. And I don’t apologize to the gazelle when I take it down.”

Of course we got to witness more of Mac- Barrons interactions and that is always much fun but I never get enough of them. He was away a lot and still keeping secrets but as always he got a way to find out everything Mac knew. His presence is both infuriating and incredibly intriguing. I can't get enough.

“Barrons was powerful, broodingly good-looking, insanely wealthy, frighteningly intelligent, and had exquisite taste, not to mention a hard body that emitted some kind of constant low-level charge. Bottom line: He was the stuff of heroes.
And psychotic killers.”

It's been a few weeks since I finished reading the book so I can't write a very excited review about it but I loved it. That much I remember because I know what happened in the end and even if the entire book sucked (which it DIDN'T) I would have loved in anyway because it was epic. Not good for the human population but epic.

I already started the next book and it's quite amazing so far. I hope everyone that gets to read this one enjoys it at least as much as I did.

Cover Reveal: Are you Mine? by N.K. Smith + Teaser

This is how N.K. Smith's Are you Mine? cover looks like.
And here is little information on the cover and the book.

Title: Are You Mine?
Author: N.K. Smith
Genre: New Adult Contemporary
Expected release date: 7 August 2013
Cover Design by Regina Wamba at MaeIDesign.com
Photography by Poly Mendes at PolyMendesPhotography.com
[This is a self-published title so no pre-order purchase links will be available prior to publication.]
Summary(provided by the author):
Human connection? Who needs it?

Ever since she can remember, wealthy but weary Saige Armstrong has felt different from her peers in Pechimu, New Jersey. With only one good friend to her name, she has navigated the complicated halls of high school and is now faced with the timeless question: Now what?

Fox Harrington, a fun-loving, socially charismatic graffiti artist uses his passions to color his world exactly how he wants it. He knows exactly where his life is headed. That is, until he meets Saige.

A summer project links the two together, making a tentative friendship bloom into romance, but despite their affection for each other, fundamental beliefs and ways of thinking threaten to destroy all they have built.

In this tender story of young love, N.K. Smith delivers a striking tale of two people standing on the precipice of adult life.

Teaser:

His weight on me is new and wonderful, and when his lips find mine, I’m sure there’s nothing better in the universe. He moves his mouth lower and his tongue touches the hollow of my neck. I can’t stop shivering. I close my eyes when his lips are back to mine, and I tighten my arms around him.
There’s something frenetic, yet measured in the way he kisses me. It’s not hard to figure out that I’m the wild frenzy, and he’s the calm, dignified restraint. I can’t move much because the weight of him limits me, but I’m able shift just enough to free my legs. It’s instinctive to wrap them around his waist, but that brings about a whole other rush of sensations.
I inhale deeply the moment his lips part from mine, but it’s only a moment of freedom. Fox’s tongue sweeps out over my bottom lip, and it’s all I can do to let out my breath in a slow, but stuttered exhale.
It’s crazy how much I want him. It’s insane how just being with him changes everything.

Beautiful Stranger (Beautiful Bastard #2)   by Christina Lauren
Expected publication: May 28th 2013
Gallery Books

Synopsis(from Goodreads):
A charming British Playboy. A girl determined to finally live. And a secret liaison revealed in all too vivid color. Book two in the NYT Bestselling series.
Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon's moved to New York City and is looking for excitement without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night's fun. But the manner--and speed--with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows Max Stella loves women, not that he's ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it's not until Sara--and the wild photos she lets him take of her--that he starts wondering if there's someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.
I haven not yet had the chance to read book one but from what I've heard and simply from the summary of both books I know I will end up reading both at some point. I already featured Beautiful Bastard on one of my WOW post so I though it was time to feature this one too..

The Liberator (Dante Walker #2)   by Victoria Scott

Entangled Teen

Synopsis(from Goodreads):
Bad boy, meet bad girl.

Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn't like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance.

When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard.

With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.

[No pre-order purchase links yet.]
Summary(provided by the author):
Sometimes you can't help falling in love, even when you try to do the opposite...Successful fashion blogger McKenna Bell has spent far too long protecting herself after the way her ex-fiancĂ© left her at the altar for a college chick he met the night of his bachelor party. Loving again, trusting again, well, that's just not in the cards. Especially now that her ex is back in town with his new woman, demanding custody of McKenna's favorite creature in the whole world--her dog. No effing way. McKenna's had enough of him, and she decides to even the score by finding her own hot young thing -- a Trophy Husband. Sure, she's only twenty-seven, but doesn't that make it even more fun -- and infuriating to her ex -- to pursue a younger man? When she declares her intentions on her daily blog, her quest quickly skyrockets in popularity, and that's when Chris enters the picture, and he’s got all the assets. He's handsome, successful, and turns her inside out with a kiss to end all kisses, the kind that makes you feel like a shooting star. But loving again could mean losing again, and it's so much easier to focus on getting even, isn't it? Unless, you just can't help falling in love. Which means McKenna will have to come face to face with what she really wants in life -- protecting her heart from hurt, or letting go of her fears of a new beginning.

Also, here is an excerpt of the book:

And finally, here is my review of the book. I absolutely loved it and I'm really happy I got the chance to read and review it.
The Boyfriend App is a very interesting book. I had no idea what I was getting into but I read it in a day and a half and that was because I just had other stuff to do. I really enjoyed reading it and here's why.

This is the story of Audrey McCarthy and her journey to discovering just how important the Truth really is. And she found that out when she was working on her App for a contest Public is hosting. I should mention that Public is the biggest and most popular company that distributes cell-phones and all sorts of electronic devises and the contest they were hosting guaranteed 200k for two winners towards a scholarship of each winner to a college of their choice. The rules were simple, create the most popular or most innovative App and make it memorable.

Winning the contest, for Audrey meant the end of all her problems because she'd be able to afford to go to a school that could support and expand her current knowledge. I should also mention that Audrey is a hacker, and a damn good one by that. Her Dad thought her since she was very little and she is supper smart and works magic in front of the computer but she also never uses what she can do to harm anyone, though she could if she wanted to, because people kept so many juicy secrets on their computers and later in the book Audrey showed the readers how easily she could hack her way into any computer she wanted.

But to get back on topic, she had to design and create the perfect App and for a high school student who's life is spent mainly in front of computers it wasn't a very big surprise when she came up with the idea of the Boyfriend App (BFA). What was impressive though was how fast she created the whole thing. Yeah the process wasn't very detailed but it was still pretty fast and she was the fist one to submit her App from her school.

The App fast became very popular but some unexpected bugs caused just as fast demise. It was a pure luck that Audrey found something she shouldn't have in her phone. And that something (I won't tell you what it was) brought her the biggest success but also so many problems.

As I said before, the story was very interesting. I didn't know what I was getting into and then almost two days later and I was done reading it and it was awesome.

I loved Audrey's character because she was so shy when it came to the boys she liked and in real life really but when it came to computers, she was confident as hell. I also loved the support characters very much, especially Lindsay, Audrey's cousin and Aiden, one of Audrey's crushes (the bigger one).

The story was balanced perfectly between the present and the past- Audrey's Dad and memories she had of both of them when she was little. He was a huge role-model for her and he played a huge part in who she is now.

I don't know what stops me from giving the book 5 stars because it was amazing but I guess it just didn't get me excited as some books. The pace was both fast and not so much at times so I really don't know what it is but I really enjoyed reading the book. You guys should definitely give it a try when it comes out and check out the Tour (starts April 14th)

I give it:

Adult review: Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning

This book is suitable for Adult readers!!!

Goodread summary:
I used to be your average, everyday girl but all that changed one night in Dublin when I saw my first Fae, and got dragged into a world of deadly immortals and ancient secrets. . . .

In her fight to stay alive, MacKayla must find the Sinsar Dubh—a million-year-old book of the blackest magic imaginable, which holds the key to power over the worlds of both the Fae and Man. Pursued by assassins, surrounded by mysterious figures she knows she can’t trust, Mac finds herself torn between two deadly and powerful men: V’lane, the immortal Fae Prince, and Jericho Barrons, a man as irresistible as he is dangerous.

For centuries the shadowy realm of the Fae has coexisted with that of humans. Now the walls between the two are coming down, and Mac is the only thing that stands between them.

“Fire isn’t good or bad. It just burns.”

Book one introduced us to MacKayla 'Mac' Lane. She was just a normal southern belle that lives a charmed life with loving parent, awesome big sister and great friends. That is until the day, that hot summer day, when she was lazily lounging near the pool, when the phone rang and changed everything.

“It's a strange new world out there and the rules have changed: It's every princess for herself.”

It's been months since then. Mac is already in Ireland, Dublin to be precise and she is in so much trouble. The memory of her perfect life is juts that, a distant memory she avoids thinking about because it only causes her pain now. She is a different Mac, not like the girl who's biggest problem was whether or not her new pink nail-polish is going to match her new outfit. Now Mac is dark and not so ignorant and trusting. She learned the hard way that the world she lives in is not a happy place and with the help of Jericho Barrons she just might live through another day.

Mac is a sidhe-seer, she sees the Fae, otherworldly creatures bent on taking over our world after they finally escaped their prison in Faery. Coming in hordes through portals all over the town, the UnSeelys are just one of the things on Mac's mind at the moment though. She had the Sinsar Dubh to deal with, a book filled with the darkest magic on Earth or Faery of any of the other dimensions that exist and she is one of the very few people that can sense it. Well she passes out from the unimaginable pain she feels when she's near it but she is still a very valuable player in the game, one Jericho Barrons found and helped trained, and now uses to the full extent. Mac is his Opp's detector and he would do anything to protect her.

“What are you Barrons?”
“The one who will never let you die, and that’s more, Ms Lane, than anyone in your life has been able to say to you. More than anyone else can do”

The relationship between the two main characters is extraordinary. There is attraction between them but neither one of them is willing to admit it. They are both too focus on the mission to find the Sinsar Dubh but even in the midst of all that, they are always in each other's minds. Well no one can couch for what's on Barrons' mind because he is the most guarded character I've ever encountered but whenever Mac was in trouble, he always came to save her and in those moments, when she is hurt and nearly unconscious or barely alive he is so gentle and there's just something about the way he acts that leads me to believe she's not just a means to an end for him.

“I was about to look away when he reached across the seat, touched my jaw with his long, strong, beautiful fingers, and caressed my face.
Being touched by Jericho Barrons with kindness makes you feel like you must be the most special person in the world. It’s like walking up to the biggest, most savage lion in the jungle, lying down, placing your head it its mouth and, rather than taking your life, it licks you and purrs.”

Of course this is an ongoing relationship with it's ups and downs and I just love reading about their interactions. After months of living near each other they have learned to avoid the hard emotional stuff and they focus on what's important to keep them alive.

“His hand was on my throat, and he was crushing me back with his body into the cold steel beam behind me. "Yes, I have loved, Ms. Lane, and although it‘s none of your business, I have lost. Many things. And no, I am not like any other player in this game and I will never be like V‘lane, and I get a hard-on a great deal more often than occasionally." He leaned fully against me and I gasped.

"Sometimes it‘s over a spoiled little girl, not a woman at all. And yes, I trashed the bookstore when I couldn't find you. You‘ll have to choose a new bedroom, too. And I‘m sorry your pretty little world got all screwed up, but everybody‘s does, and you go on. It‘s how you go on that defines you." His hand relaxed on my throat. "And I am going to tattoo you, Ms. Lane, however and wherever I please.”

Book two was very exciting and so full of passion. So many new developments, so many new threats to consider, new artifacts and pieces from the Fae history escape the confinement of the Fae minds and we are sucked in this rich, fast paced world that is on the brink of falling apart. I loved the setting, the characters and the writing (it's incredible) and I loved the mythology. It felt complete and it was interesting and entertaining. I was at the edge of my seat with every new chapter and I am so excited about the next book. Oh the possibilities there. The end of book two was a cliff-hanger and I'm really looking forward to meeting Mac and Barrons again.
