YA Review: Black Dawn ( The Morganville Vampires, #12) by Rachel Caine

This book is suitable for Young Adult readers!!!
Goodread summary:
With its eclectic mix of vampire and human citizens, Morganville, Texas, has always been a risky place to call home. But with the invasion of the vampire’s deadliest enemy, Morganville isn’t just in danger—it’s dying…
Ever since the draug—mysterious creatures that prey on vampires—took over Morganville, the lives of student Claire Danvers and her friends have been thrown into turmoil. Most of the town’s residents have evacuated, but Claire, Shane, Eve and Michael have chosen to stay and fight.Using the city’s water system to spread, the draug have rapidly multiplied. Things in Morganville look grim, especially since vampire Amelie—the town founder—has been infected by the master draug’s bite.

Now, if Claire and her friends don’t figure out how to cure Amelie and defeat the draug, it looks like Morganville will become little more than a ghost town…

Yet another amazing book by Rachel Caine.
This story could go on forever because it doesn't take a lot of time. A lot has happened since the beginning but to me every next book is more like a chapter in a big book rather that different book.
I guess it's because of the way it was written but I always have fun reading these books and this wasn't any different.
I loved the adventures my favorite characters went on and it was interesting and intense and fun(for me to read.. not for them to experience) at the same time.. There was a twist as always and now more than ever I can't wait for the next book to get on my shelf..

“Myrnin was silent for a beat, and then he said, "Bob would be very disappointed in you.”

After the Draug came to town and almost all the vampires left Clare, Shane, Eve and Michael chose to stay and fight. They could have disappeared and started their lives somewhere safe but they made the decision to fight for the town and to help destroy the evil that is occupying it.

That did not come without a cost and as always Clare and her friends had to pay it.

“That's very rude," Myrnin said. "I haven't brought my fangs our for some time. Not in mixed company, anyway.”

The story was intense.. That's pretty much all I have to say. In the previous books there was trouble, that never ends but it's never been this serious and dangerous. But even in the midst of all that, the characters somehow managed to have a laugh here or there or to insert a sarcastic comment...

“There were things out there in the world, things that vampires feared, and now those things were here. She was only seconds out of a very light, fitful sleep, but she knew that the nightmares had followed her effortlessly right into the real world. The draug. They weren’t vampires; they were something else, something that moved through water, formed out of it, dragged vampires down to a slow and awful death.”

When vampires are running scared for their lives, than things are really bad and now after the crisis was averted things are never going to be the same. I am super excited for the next book because the end of this one was quite the cliffhanger... I really can't wait!

Loved it!
