When I first started reading book ONE I found myself unable to connect to the characters but I still liked the story and I really wanted to find where it would lead. So I read book one and I ended up liking it even though I had a problem with the characters and now I’m really happy that I read it and that I requested book two because it was awesome and it was everything I wanted it to be.

I started to connect with the characters and I had fun reading about them and I felt that need to know what happens next, that need that makes me unable to stop reading. And it was amazing. I just loved the book so much. And so much more than I let myself love the first.

I already knew the characters and their normal behavior so I wasn’t as shocked at some of their exchanges but the most important part was that the characters new each other and they were very familiar and their relationship was actually changing into something bigger and stronger.

I definitely noticed that I like Daniel a lot in this book. I was harsh on him in the first book because he came on too strong but in this book he controls himself more and he genuinely shows his love to Haley and like I said, they are not just acquaintances anymore and his behavior wasn't as intrusive as it seemed at the beginning. He is more open and well he is different somehow and I liked him a lot!

Also I loved the twists and turns in their relationship. I loved when they would start fighting because it seemed natural for two people with such strong personalities to clash at some point and it was incredibly entertaining to watch them fight.

Another thing I loved was the serious note of the book. There was a lot of heartbreaking moments but also an equal amount of breathtaking ones… I loved how Daniel will push forward but Haley would fight him on every step. It was clear where things were going for the two of them but it was still interesting and intriguing to see how Haley would interpret something wrong and screw things up or how Daniel will be his overbearing and overprotective self and will do something that will make Haley explode.

Now I know it may seem like I was taking pleasure from their pain but it’s not like that. I was actually almost feeling all of their emotions as things were happening. I was definitely connected to them and I had fun when they were happy and I was sad when they were sad.

And I know I’m already repeating myself but I can’t stress it enough that when they were fighting, I was practically glued to the screen unable to look away, needing to see what happens. Those moments were so intense and awesome…

As for the ending… I had the biggest most stupid grin on my face, all the way from the last few chapters till the end of the book.

I’m actually happy with the way the story ended and where the characters are now but I kind of wish there was more. Like maybe the author can expand the epilogue and follow the near 2-5 year future… Write a couple more books… or ten… it’s okay, I’ll read them.

Anyway, I really loved this book and I’m so happy I got the chance to read it.. This review is part of the Inner Core Blog Tour hosted by Xpresso Blog Tours and I’m so thankful for the review copy! I loved reading this book so it’s an amazing star of the year bookwise.
